A few weeks ago, we started a series based on our most common question: What DO you do? Stephanie’s entrepreneur brain doesn’t stop spinning ideas, so there’s always new work projects:
The first service we detailed was the KanVote Ballot Application Subscription Service: Newsletter, KanVote Website
Political strategy: This week’s explainer is the work that doesn’t fit into a clearly defined box, other than the generic “consulting” term.
VoteSharp voter CRM: Next update!
VoteSharp Juror Insight: NEW Service! Last update in this series.
For about ten years, we did day-to-day campaign product coordination (mailers and other printing, signs, campaign tchotchkes, events, door-to-door planning, etc.) as well as official communications (town hall meetings, email newsletters, misc events, etc.)
When done well, public service is a full-time job, not just during the campaign cycle. If you’re only seeing your electeds when they need your vote, you should be seeing them every day (i.e. they need your vote every day, not just on Election Day)!
In 2020, Stephanie dropped the day-to-day campaign work to focus on growing VoteSharp subscriptions and advising. She works with organizations on political engagement and issue campaigns, and with candidates on whether to run, timing, messaging, communications, voter data analysis, and vendors. Some of the best:
The Record Printing & Mailing in Basehor, the ONLY print/mail house we use. Hi guys!
The best yard signs in the industry, Lenexa’s own Gill Studios. You can check prices on their website, but can only order through an approved vendor, which we are. Plus you get to skip the shipping if you’re in the KC area! Here’s the video from when they were featured on CBS Sunday Morning:
Yes, we still do yard signs (we have thoughts and more thoughts about them), lapel stickers (about that logo…), and
Finding the best parade tchotchkes is one of our favorite creative outlets!
Dog treats: Stephanie started these to help her teenaged daughter, Anna, make some money.
Your logo on an individually packaged dog treat is impactful for parades, festivals, and door-to-door. Want a voter to remember you? Love on their dog! Also great for your business.
Thanks for reading and for your continued support of our work,
Stephanie Sharp
