If you’re good about getting back to your car, drop a coin or two into the expired meter next to you.
When that owner comes rushing back to their car, straining for a look at the windshield and dreading the ticket that’s sure to be there, imagine the guaranteed drop-of-the-shoulders in utter relief (and surprise) that their meter isn’t expired after all! No parking ticket – yay!
