As if your daily mental load isn’t enough, add the exhaustion of this election cycle, and now we’re bringing up the holidays already? Pumpkins at the grocery store, candy bags clogging the aisles, and avoiding those aisles like the plague if you have kids in tow… But let’s talk about the December holidays!!!!
This is your reminder to get family photos booked, get a new headshot for the coming session, whatever you need for your Holiday cards.
We’re serious. Trust us. Do it now.
Think about your constituents the same way you think about the family card your send out to friends:
If you are elected and haven’t used the printing and postage provided by your governing body, this is a great way to hit a lot of voters and “humanize” you!
Elected or not, EVERYONE ❤️ photo cards! BOOK THAT PHOTOGRAPHER!
Send your card to a printer for printing and mailing to your district. We use The Record exclusively! They mail everywhere in the country, so send them all your far-flung lists.
(Ask for Don and tell them Stephanie sent you:)
Take a moment to mentally walk through your neighborhood, especially the street you live on, and double check your immediate neighbors and other friends throughout the neighborhood are on your mailing list. Remember to add people who have moved in!
Get creative!
Compose a “Top 5/10” list for the year of official and/or campaign activities (depending on how you’re paying for it!).
Follow a theme (ocean, books, gardening, pickleball, the ideas are endless) and include photos with captions using phrases in the theme.
Write a poem or redo someone’s song lyrics to tell the story of your year or just wish them a happy holiday season.
Creating connection with neighbors - regardless of whether they are voters - is always the best way to serve them!
Happy (super early) Holiday serving!
