If you’ve been to an Aldi grocery store, you know about the Aisle of Shame. That’s not its official name, but you know what I’m talking about. It’s the center aisles with limited-time, Aldi-only items. These are typically seasonal gifts, home decor, clothing and shoes, kitchen gadgets, beauty products, etc.
We highly recommend the Aldi AOS Facebook group for good ideas for paying it forward. It seems every day, someone shares a story about a customer:
Leaving the quarter in the cart for the next person.
Aldi’s cart return system is simple and brilliant. They are chained together and require a quarter to unlock the chain. The quarter stays in the cart until you return it and connect the chain, which ejects the quarter. It keeps their parking lots free of carts and prevents cart damage to vehicles.
In searching for photos/explainers of this, we found an entire Aldi AOS website!
Paying the difference on a bill where the person in front of them is short.
Allowing a mom with screaming kids go in front of them.
Double bonus points for distracting the kids with funny faces or actions!
Helping an elderly person sack their groceries.
Head to your local Aldi and share the neighbor love!
Happy serving,
