Coming out of COVID, it’s still a bit uncomfortable when someone sneezes, but with a strong allergy season in full effect, we’re surrounded by sniffles and drainage!
Today’s concept is easy, but also requires you to get outside your comfort zone, speak up in a crowd, and likely to a stranger. Our extrovert readers are chomping at the bit 🤗. Our introverts and ambiverts have sweaty palms 😳.
Upon a sneeze, recognize it in any way you are comfortable:
Most are familiar with the German term “gesundheit”. It’s a combination of gesund (health) and -heit (-hood), to mean health. When you say “gesundheit”, you’re wishing someone good health.
Bless you or God bless you
Santé is common in Europe and means “health” but is said in the same way you’d say “cheers” for a toast.
In a world where we are increasingly disconnected from each other, serving our neighbors by recognizing humanity with this small act connects someone to their world. When it happens to you, return the connection with a “thank you”!
Happy serving!
